Running on Empty! That was the title for last Sunday’s sermon. It’s so easy to run out of spiritual life through the busyness of our modern life. Just as a car can’t travel very far on a empty tank so Christians can’t go very far without the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. It really gets back to basics; we fuel up the tank by God’s word, prayer and praise. If you’re running on empty and feeling spiritually dry, maybe it’s time to fill up with God’s presence at God’s petrol station. God loves you and wants you to be filled with what the bible calls “living waters”. Why run on empty when you can have a full tank.
John 7:38 NLT Anyone who believes in Me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'"
John 10:10 NLT The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
